How to Join The ROAR & Audition Requirements:

STEP 1 Submit application for admission to FMU

STEP 2 Complete Registration Form

STEP 3 Access and Download the Roar études and scales and begin preparing for your placement audition.

All ROAR musicians will be assessed during Pre-Season“Migration”. (Note: All active band members are eligible for the Tier I Band Scholarship)

 

STEP 4 

(Optional) Students interested in being considered for a higher Tier II or III scholarship must prepare (2) additional pieces of your choice for consideration

(1 Technical & 1-Lyrical)

2 ways to let us hear your higher Tier II & III scholarship audition:

​

1. Submit a video recording of you  performing the scales and etudes, (and additional 2 pieces of your choice if applicable)

 

2. Schedule an appointment to audition in person with Mr. Beckford by contacting Ms. Taryn Hudson, our administrative assistant.

Auditions for Higher Tier Band Scholarships must be submitted (by video) or completed (in person) before May 1st to be considered. The earlier the better.

Audition dates and information will be posted here on our website on March 4, 2022 for all female students interested in auditioning for the “LionEssense” Dance Team and “Fierce” Color Guard.
